If you are able to walk a kilometer and a half or 2 to the piazza, it is an outstanding hotel, pools are superb and service really fast
I won't give it a 5 star because of the fact that they control the air conditioning system and decide when to switch it on, and i am convinced it has a lot to do with saving money, and we suffered for the first 2 nights until I put my feet down and they gave me a fan for the room!!!
The worst hotel of GB group I have been so far. It was my first time and while checking-in no one explained me anything about hotel. Find out yourself. Personnel is not helpful, actually they are few, so rushing around and not friendly at all. When I tried to have breakfast in the robe (it’s written in brochure, which by the way was in Italian though my name doesn’t seem Italian, that I can), a man told me in a rude manner that I cannot and should stay outside ordering to the waiter. But ordering what? There’s no menu, at the end waiter arrived with half of the things I don’t eat as that’s how he understood me. No comments. Oh, and at the check out you just pay, no one is interested if you liked your stay or not. Tried once, will not come back. There’s Trieste&Victoria and due torri with excellent service and hospitality.
I was given very little explanation on what to wear, how to use the baths etc. the info sheet was in the wrong language despite us telling them our language. Rude staff at reception and a rude maitre de. Overall didn’t feel welcome.
I do not recommend booking Basic and Classic rooms as these rooms are quite outdated and need renovation.
Only key members of the hotel staff such as managers speak English - You will have to use Google Translate a lot if you do not either speak German, French or Italian.
The pools and treatments are top notch!
The hotel has a lot of free fun events such as stargazing, bicycle trips, aqua aerobics etc.
The food was amazing - I recommend booking a stay with full board. Be mindful that there is a dress-code for lunch and dinner which is quite nice.
The WiFi is quite slow and the signal is spotty in most parts of the hotel - be mindful of this if you need internet during your stay.
Overall: I would probably visit again next year.
Excellent location and decoration. The stuff are very nice and friendly. However the room balcony was full of bugs and insects daily. That is why giving 1 star
Pools should be cleaned more often considering the majority are elderly people and designated area for smokers have to be allocated! It’s not fair for other people not breathing with clean air in SPA place like this! Some are like chimneys! It’s disturbing and so disrespectful.
Very delightful place...all spa treatments are well done and the food is very good....friendly atmosphere, came back one year later and still very good. I only wish the dinner's time was around 7 instead of 7.45
Very nice 4 start hotel. It's a little dated, but is has a lovely Charme of the 60ties and 70ties
